I have almost 10 years of experience taking care of a senior person until he passed away more than a week ago. He was diagnosed with dementia and alzheimer's. As a veteran I was the one who took care of his medical appointments (driving him there, follow-up with MD's, pill refills, physical activity, discussed with MD's if medications are changed), assisted him with his personal hygiene, leisure trips to the dinner theaters, socialize with his friends over the weekends. I made sure notes were taken when financial advisors called; Did some housekeeping like laundry, vacuuming, dusting, administer his pills according to schedule, partly handled his ATM for all the household needs.
