Hi! My name is Leslie Myers. I am a 53 year old Mother and a Grandmother myself. I retired from Aultman Hospital in 2017 with 28 years. I started my journey taking care of people at a young age. My best friends grandfather was paralyzed from the neck down when we were young. He was that way for 30 years unfortunately. We use to help her little grandmother with him. From then on I knew it was my calling. When I was in high school I worked as a personal companion for an elderly lady in a nursing home for several years. I worked as a nurses aide at Hanover House, St. Luke's nursing home, and as a home health aide for Affordable Home Health Care. From there I worked at Aultman Hospital for 28 years. I worked on many floors and even the ER and nursery. I gained a wealth of knowledge over the years. I then became a patient scheduler for more than half of my years there. I also worked at Cardiovascular Consultants as a scheduler which is owned by Aultman Hospital. I was retired for about 3 years and answered an add in the paper for a companion for a patient at Meadow Winds nursing home. I worked there for approximately 9 months and the pandemic hit. I am a mother of a 26 yr. Old daughter whom lives in Akron and a Grandmother of a 2 and an 8 yr. Old. which do not live with me either..lol I love people of all ages and give them my all when working with them. I am a pretty tidy housekeeper at my own home. So I certainly would do the same at someone else's. I do love pets as well but do not currently have one of my own. Thank you! Sincerely, Leslie A. Myers
