I was employed at People Inc., Community Services, and Brylin as a Direct Care Aide and Mental health Aide in the early 2000s.
My job was to assist developmentally disabled individuals with their activities of daily living. That included giving medications, personal hygiene care, driving to appointments/activities,cooking, cleaning etc. At Brylin I assisted the elderly with personal hygiene, meals, and prepared them for bed. It was a rewarding career knowing that I was able to provide care to those in dire need. At that time my two children were young and I was divorced. So I made the tough choice to become a stay at home mother.
Now my children are young adults and I am ready to start assisting families with their children and pets.
