I am disabled and unable to hold down a full-time job. However, I still feel I have some value to contribute. I used to be a Paralegal. I have taken care of anyone in my family that has gotten ill or needed long term care. When I was 16 when I got my driver's license, I also had the responsibility of my grandmother. I didn't mind because I loved her and she was fun but could be a bit difficult. I also had school and a job. Then my Mom had emphysema and I was working and going to school part-time and took care of her. My brother is mentally handicapped and since my father died I have had the responsibility of seeing to his needs since 1990. I am basically a companion and a social worker without any former training.
