Hi: I am a former classroom teacher who now provides a variety of services on a freelance basis. I still tutor academically after school and evenings, while also providing part time respite as a mother's helper to a family. I have just finished my training and shadowing at the Alzheimer's Association, where I am a contingent care provider in their adult daycare center. I have many years of care-giving on a personal basis helping take care of elderly family members, and I am now enjoying the respite the adult day care gives to caregivers in need of some help. I also have a year's experience helping care for a young woman, totally wheelchair bound, so I am comfortable with toileting, feeding, transferring from chair to bed, etc., when it comes to general every day needs.
i am looking for part time hours in the mornings, and I am very flexible and able to work different hours on different days, dependent on the needs of the family. I can offer you security and maturity and a deep love of caring for others.
