I am a retired legal professional. I became interested in the elderly after spending 3 years with my father, who preferred to be active despite his disabilities. In addition to helping him care for his home and grocery shopping, I also accompanied him to dinner, to Senior Center events, church events, fish fries, day rides, etc. I became aware of all the lonely elderly people and decided to become a care giver. I now provide companionship, preparation of meals, making sure meds are taken at appropriate times, assisting with balance where needed, general housekeeping, transportation, overnight stays, etc. to other elderly or disabled people. I find it very rewarding.
