Alexia’s Bio
Currently, I have an 'as needed' position at Saint Francis Hospital as a Nurse Technician, which is just a fancy word for Patient Care! This is where I truly found my passion of taking care of seniors and people who just need some help depending on what kind of situation they're in. Everyone needs to be seen and cared for at some point in their life, and I love being the person there for them throughout the night! On a typically day I have 7-9 patients who I am assigned to. Over my shifts, I love forming relationships with these individuals, giving them my full respect and attention. I help with any toilet and accident cleaning, I give baths and am just generally there for them whenever needed. I order food for them and feed them if necessary. I obtain vital signs from them throughout the night and monitor their condition closely. If anything looks off, I let the nurse know immediately. I also assist the nurse with basic procedures such as catheter placements, wound dressing and wound cleaning.
