I was born to be a caretaker! As a child, my mother did in home care and had a couple patients that I could accompany my mom to care for. I loved it. As a teenager, I would volunteer at the Alzheimer's/Dementia center my mother worked at in coos Bay. At 20 I I decided to go to school and earn my CNA because I knew that this was the path that I was meant to be on. I have worked in skilled nursing home and assisted living facilities that also care for rehabilitation, special needs and memory care. I have also worked in an LTAC hospital (long term acute care). Basically ICU patients leave the large local hospitals due to stay limitations and finish their recovery, or a portion of it, at the specialty hospital. have not been certified, but I have been delegated to do medications as well as diabetes care. I have had a clean, good standing license in Oregon, Ohio and Florida, with no kind of investigations. Honestly, I was let go from a home care job accused of stealing (multiple caregivers), which I never did or have done. That was devastating to even be accused of, let alone not even talked to about. Sometimes though, things just aren't supposed to work out and I hope whomever is the thief stops or is caught, I really enjoyed my patient. Now to continue, I do have a license and clean driving record, a vehicle and over 25 so covered by most insurance companies if needing to drive employers vehicle. I am a stay at home mom right now, but would like my own again. I have a very open schedule, but I have a child in elementary school and I do get calls to pick up almost weekly, with not many backups, so evening/overnights are best if that could cause problems. I have worked housekeeping at Bandon Dunes, so household needs can be met as well. I'm a very good cook and can adjust to needs wit ease, if any meal prep is required. I've raised, bred and showed papered dogs with my Kennel an ex spouse an I ran, so animal care is also available. I'm pretty much a Jill if all trades, eager to learn and curious to know as much as I can. So if you just need a check in on a loved one or full complete care, I'm the perdct person for it. Not only am I qualified, experienced and eager, I have the heart for it and ive been well rewarded and have many certificates for my dedication, attitude, performance and skills by patients and employers.
