I have had several types of care giving experiences.
I started out as a nursing assistant in a hospital in NYC working with the elderly.
I worked two full years 24/7 as a live in house parent for six developmentally disabled teens, teaching lifestyle skills and providing education in a one room classroom environment .
I worked five years with the Waldorf schools as a Waldorf-certified substitute teacher at the elementary level;
During this time with the Waldorf school involvement, I was also certified in Special Education and I tutored at the elementary level;
and I worked with children individually to help them overcome learning blocks and developmental deficiency at their grade level.
I have since helped raise two of my own daughters.
Most recently, I have worked again with the elderly suffering from chronic conditions, helping them with ADL's as well as nutritional coaching.
