My experience mainly involves working with the elderly ( age related care) and working with behaviorally and/or developmentally challenged youth.

Caregiving experience description: Caregiver assisted residents with activities of daily living i.e., personal hygiene, mealtime assistance, mobility assistance e.g., transfers, and night care. Aloha AFH provided three meals daily in accordance with individual diets, and preferences. Caregiver saw to daily housekeeping and additional tasks included minor home organization, basic secretarial work, and simple gardening.

Direct Support professional descriptions: DSPs’ implement the Individual Support Plan to assist individuals with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. Responsibilities include interacting with client to achieve skills ( related to activities of daily living) and goals i.e. exploring new hobbies/interests, practicing social skills via clubs, outings, group events etc., independence, money exchanging/shopping all while gaining valuable life skills and experience.
