I started working in homecare because I feel like the elderly really don't have a voice and everyone seems to forget about them. If I can but a smile on there face it will make my day. The reason I started doing homecare is because I enjoy taking care of people and it is a true passion of mine. I had a gentleman that had Dementia and I was with him and his wife every day for 5yrs from beginning to end and it was such an honor for me to have been his caregiver, it really keeps you humble. I was truly blessed to have worked with this family, my family became there family and hers mine. I would be honored to help someone in need. Before getting into homecare I worked as a Medical Assistance in two different Dr.s offices and I was always drawn to the elderly, I would sit and listen to there stories over and over especially the Veterans, Lol but they were just so sweet and kind. They just want companionship.
