I am a mature nanny with over 40 years experience caring for infants through teens.
I am CPR and First aid trained .

I believe in mutual respect and trust between child and caregiver and instilling values and using the idea of consequences for actions , both negative and positive regarding guiding desired behaviors . I believe in praise , And will often tell the child they are strong, smart, brave and loved . Especially when putting down for naps or bed time and when waking up.

Outdoor play time is essential , and there is no such thing as bad weather , only poor clothing choices . However reason comes into play here , and extreme conditions are naturally avoided.

Children should be engaged, entertained, educated and having fun, but I also believe they should be encouraged to play by themselves from time to time. Children should be in dependent, and have an active role in decision making regarding what they eat, what they wear, etc.

I have experience with ADHD, and ASD .

Above all, your child is my number one priority .I will clean up after the child and do their laundry once per week. However I don’t do any other housekeeping . I am professional and onto be treated as such. To that end , I expect a reliable salary . PTO for vacation and personal time as well as paid holidays . If I’m sick,I will let you know as soon as possible. I take my job seriously, so unscheduled time off is something I try to avoid at all costs . I understand you rely on me to show up on time and iI take your needs seriously. I seek a family that also takes my position seriously , and so I do expect to be paid when the family decides not to use my services , for whatever reason, during my scheduled hours . I will always try my best to coordinate my vacation time with the family so as to have a little impact on the family as possible regarding childcare needs . I prefer long weekends as opposed to entire weeks for my vacations . I prefer to work 4 days a week, avoiding weekends however I will stay late week nights .with notice , I understand things come up and some unexpected late evenings might be a problem , but please communicate with me as soon as you know you will be late so I can make dinner and other arrangements as needed .
