Special Needs Care: I am a behavior analyst (BCaBA) with 20 years of experience working with learners from 1.5 to 21 years old. I have provided services in 5 states and abroad including a year as a special needs nanny with a 6-year-old with autism prior to joining the Peace Corps in 2009. I specialize in profound autism (non-vocal, sensory regulation is a barrier to success, behaviors). I have provided services in-home, public school and private autism school, clinic based, and in the community. Some of the most joyous moments in my career have been when engaging in community based activities such as the aquarium, zoo, museums, concerts, plays, swimming, hiking, and even a trip to Disney World. Education: Master of Arts in Psychology(PGI), Graduate Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis (FIT), Bachelor's in English with a minor in Art Therapy (SVC).
