Hello! My name is Mack and I’m a sophomore at the University of Pittsburgh. Through high school, I worked at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries retirement community as a dietary aide. While my main responsibilities including meal preparation, specifically for those with special diets, and being a good listener/speaker depending on the needs of the individual I am connecting with. Additionally, I have volunteered at the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center, a place in which I was also familiarized with older crowds. I love to draw lessons from stories that seniors share with me, as well as introducing them to my interests and proving that you can take on new hobbies/intellectual pursuits at any age. For example, I convinced my 70 grandmother to dye her hair pink just because why not!! In all, I’m a very gentle and adaptable individual with an evident zest for life and a passion for making friendships.
