I became a caregiver because I have taken care of people since I was a young teen, I feel more like a caregiver than a babysitter. I say this because a babysitter’s job is to basically watch a child or person, a caregiver takes care of a person’s needs regardless of the age and helps them feel that life is still going on or to teach them how to learn and grow with life. I have worked with children for over 20 years ranging from babies to early middle school. I have taken care of my mother, elderly grandmother and right now I am a care companion for an elderly man that just turned 98, and we have a great time together. I cook, light cleaning and laundry. I am currently working with a childcare center and I am really looking to work part time in the morning hours that won’t affect this job! I am looking to work 6:30-12:30 hours. I saw that the time maybe negotiable? So that is why I am showing interest in this position.
