Hi!
My name is Holly. I went to nursing school in 1994-1995 and became a LPN. I worked in a nursing home for not quite 1 1/2 years. I then went on to a veterinary clinic, caring for animals, for 14 1/2 years. I started out as a veterinary assistant and worked my way up to Practice Manager at the clinic. I am currently a F/T surgical assistant and I also have a flex LPN position providing care in a home setting for individuals with intellectual disabilities. I am a caring, compassionate person that has a heart for the elderly & children. I also helped my mother care for my grandfather, in her home, for several years. She didn't want to send him to a nursing home. It was a very difficult time for her, but it was her deep desire to care for him at home. I assisted with his bathing and would provide meals, give medications, & transportation to doctor appointments when needed. I know how important it is to keep family members at home rather than in a nursing home when at all possible and I also know how difficult that can be on the family member providing the care & often working full time outside the home. I would appreciate being considered for your caregiver position. I can promise dependability and a compassionate heart for your loved one!
I will also consider date night babysitting, house sitting, and pet sitting.
