I am 51 years old. I have worked as a caregiver in many different capacities. As a preteen and teenager I worked at a camp for children with special needs. I always knew I wanted work with people but the experience showed me where my heart was. I have worked at the same facility for the past 21 years caring for children and adults with severe physical handicaps and intellectual disabilities. They have become a part of my extended family. Prior to that I have worked in other capacities i.e physical therapy assistant, nurses aide in nursing home, multiple home care positions for seniors and individuals with special needs.
