I have a little over 4 years experience as a CNA. I have worked in a nursing home as well as personal care. To me it is much more than just a job but also an opportunity to do something great. I truly love helping others. I'm a very positive person and love to do everything with a smile =) I think it's extremely important to treat others as I would want my family or myself treated. I have cared for people that were nearly independent to people that were completely dependent. I have experience with lifts, sliding boards, normal transfers, assistance feeding, serving & cleaning up meals, house management tasks such as housekeeping, laundry, and dishes. Also have experience with toileting, bed pans, catheter bags, showers, bathing, grooming, dressing, obtaining weights, assisting and/or reminding of daily exercises, oxygen tanks, collecting routine specimens if needed, observing, recording and reporting any changes. I have my CNA certification. I have also had CPR & first aid training as well as insulin, eye drops and nebulizers.
