I love being a caregiver because it allows me to make a real difference in someone’s daily life. Helping clients maintain their independence, dignity, and comfort brings me a deep sense of purpose. I enjoy forming genuine connections with the individuals I care for, and I find fulfillment in providing support whether it's assisting with personal care, offering companionship, or simply being a positive presence throughout their day.
I have one year of hands-on experience working as a Personal Care Assistant. During this time, I’ve worked with clients who have a range of needs, including mobility challenges, dementia, and chronic health conditions. I’ve provided assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, meal preparation, medication reminders, and light housekeeping. I’ve also engaged clients in activities to promote mental and emotional well-being. I am trained in basic first aid and CPR, and I’ve completed a PCA certification program that covered topics such as infection control, safe transferring techniques, and client rights. I’ve developed strong skills in communication, patience, time management, and attention to detail. I also have experience working with individuals with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and I’m trained in maintaining a safe environment for clients with limited mobility. I take pride in being reliable, compassionate, and respectful in every aspect of care.
