My life work has focuses on providing care to elders and those with special needs. My experience includes working primarily in home care settings. Clients I have worked with have a variety of needs including; assistance with transfers, general housekeeping, personal care and companionship. Primarily I have worked with individuals living with memory loss however I have also worked with individuals recovering from/living with; stroke, limb loss, MD, Parkinson's, ALS, diabetes, COPD, heart conditions, tracheotomy, hip/knee replacement.
I am educated, trained and experienced in diabetes care, wound care (sterile/non sterile) G tube/Peg tube, NG Tube, Trach care including suctioning, Foley care, Hoyer lift use. I do have some basic ASL skills for those who communicate using sign language.
