I've worked caring for people since the age of seven. My Mother had cancer three times. And with three brothers and twin blind sisters l was the only one able to provide care.
I had my CNA/CMT/CPR/CPI for 30 years. I've worked with severe and profound children as an assistant teacher. I've ran a group home with three challenged male adults for several years and a staff of 7 men and one female. I went to school to become a CNA and applied to work With Bay Berry Commons in Pascoug for seven years. Two weeks later a opportunity can along within Bayberry Commons to go to Feinstein pharmaceutical college to become a CMT. I worked this position for 7 years with Bayberry Commons then with Hebert Nursing Home 7 years. I moved and wanted a job closer to home. I was travelling 52 miles daily. I then applied with The Miriam Hospital where l worked in Cardiac Serge until retirement
But continued to work Respite Cases and travelled working within Nursing Homes as a CMT
Now l work with Senior Adults in their homes as a caretaker companion. The last gentleman l worked with was 102 years young but sadly passed away recently.
I love working with seniors. I have much compassion in my heart and love giving and receiving their acceptance and love.
