My name is Matee Gooknuh and I am currently a 1st year graduate student studying clinical social work. I enjoy working with children because I want to make an impact on their developmental process . Their growth. And by doing so ; I truly believe that is the appropriate way to help raise a child. Understanding children developmental process as a babysitter will help us understand children 's behavior . Especially knowing that the environment plays a factor. My experience working with children stems from my teenage and undergraduate years. I come from a big family so I've always been exposed to caring for my younger siblings and cousins. Although I am not a professional, I do have experience working with children. Currently, I am employed at a group home that provides direct care services for developmentally delayed, autistic and behavioral young men . Between the ages of 13-18 years. I enjoy working with this population because every moment is unpredictable and one must be prepared at all times. Likewise working with young children .
