I am a seasoned health care provider, I started in Ohio working with a State Tested Nurse Assistant certificate along with CPR and First Aide. I went from facilities to home health care thru agencies also working with the county as a Guardian for 5 years until we moved South. I have a clean record with the state, background, criminal, drug and an high credit score. The best part of working with seniors is the ability to learn from them along with hearing their story and see the joy on their faces knowing someone cares about them, talks with them and assists them when needed. I believe in allowing the senior to do as much as possible themselves guiding them when necessary, after all they are a bit resistant to having someone help to begin with, keeping their independence and dignity is of utmost important. I am a young senior myself with compassion and sensitivity and a large dose of humor to smooth out tensions and bring a smile back to their face. I am a Northeasterner to start with but am now living in Elizabethton with a Chef husband and two fur babies. I have traveled the work, worked many types of jobs from waitress to Realtor. I am in good health, some say thin! and a happy girl. My passtimes would be sewing, gardening, and anything to do with the beach.
