Kierra’s Bio
Growing up I was attached to my great grandmother who’s no longer here with me. My great grandmother went through life changes as she became older and eventually went into an assisted living facility due to my family having busy work schedules to assist all of her needs. Visiting the assisted living facility I would see other elders each time who’s in need of companion and a big smile. I couldn’t imagine having a family member in assisted living without visiting and checking in on them multiple times throughout the week. Now that I’m of age to realize, life happens and sometimes balancing personal time and work time could be difficult. I’ve gained my caregiver experience working at the disability board of Charleston as a direct support, helping those with disabilities with daily life skills, administer medication, and even helped groom those who weren’t capable to do themselves. It’s always an honor to help anyone who’s in need of a lending hand.
