Newcomer to this kind of step in my life. I have been working as a caregiver every since I was 18 years of age. Moving to Charleston to help a family member dealing with a newly marriage. Taking two years off from work to care for my grandmother who couldn't walk due to arthritis. Bathing, clothing and, preparing meals for her before she went to Senior daycare. Now my mom is 64 and she is my heart and bless to still be able to walk. Occasionally taking her to the doctor and making sure she is taking her medication. I believe with anyone with family will at one point another will be a caregiver at one point in life. Not because its a obligation but its just the right thing to do. I make sure my uncles and aunts paperwork are fill out correctly. Taking them to needed appointments. I am here to help and feel satisfied when I have. I always have been a hard worker and trustworthy worker. Working at Captain Ds @the age of 16 and, later stepping into my role of learning and knowing people. I did not know I would learn a lot about myself in the process. I cannot tolerate someone being treated unfairly especially, the elderly. You don't take advantage of no one but, it bother me most when there older because, we have so much to learn from them. If we live long enough all of us will age and my hope is that someone will display compassion that I have towards others. No I don't have degrees behind me which I think is Very Important! . Given the opportunity I will go after that training. I think I'm pretty incredible without it. If you need assistance with food preparation, medicine distribute,to and from the doctor, light house cleaning or heavy, paperwork or grocery shopping I am your person. If you need some help with a project that need a little arm muscle. I am that person. Your family is My family. I Live and treat others as I want to be treated.
