I actually have worked as a Social Worker in the long-term care/rehab environment with seniors for over 30 years. I worked with hospice for 1 year with seniors as clients. I did take the CNA course, while in Pennsylvania, so I could assist staff with resident care if needed while a Social Worker. I know longer have that certification as we moved to South Carolina from Pennsylvania about 3 years ago. I am familiar with assisting seniors with grooming, transferring, etc. I have transported residents to appts, assisted in feeding residents, etc. I absolutely love the senior population and feel they should be treated with dignity and respect. They are a very interesting group of people to work with and learn from.
