As a former operator/ owner (19 years) of a durable medical equipment business with daily contact with elderly clients. A very important part of providing assistance to our customers included education and assistance for home safety and developing successful aging in place plan of care to include recommending changes to home environment to increase comfort and safety.
Trained as an Emergency Medical Technician, I am able to recognize and assist with care and treatment for a variety of medical concerns.
While I do not have experience as a paid care companion, I have a lifelong affinity for seniors . I do have experience caring for my own Grandmother and Father, who suffer from dementia and decreased mobility.
In beginning a new stage in my working career, after raising a family and running a business, I am now more interested in making a difference rather than working a job.
In closing, I believe our seniors have much to offer and deserve our respect and the fullest life possible.
