Katherine D. Care Companion in Little River, SC 29566

Hello! My name is Katherine Donovan (I go by Katie) I am 33 years old and have 3 daughters (8 years old, 2.5 years old and a 7 week old newborn) I moved to SC 9 years ago after living in Massachusetts my whole life prior to the move. Before becoming a stay at home parent 8 years ago I worked as a lifeguard, sales associate in retail, a server and as a medical assistant over 18 years. I did years of community service work in assisted living homes through high school and loved every second of it. I was blessed with the opportunity to be a stay at home parent for the majority of the past 8 years although I have missed filling more fulfilled by helping others day to day. On and off since 2018 I have worked cleaning rental properties, cleaning residential properties, and helping a woman move into her new home, assisted with interior design of her new home, running errands and cleaning. She became a very dear friend and still is. In 2020 I moved my grandmother in law from Massachusetts into our home in SC. She brightened everyday for me and was my best friend. She had fought cancer on and off since she was in her 30s and passed in 2024 at the age of 84. For four years our days were spent chatting and laughing. I ran errands for her, took her to all her appointments, handled scheduling and the last year she had with us I handled all her grooming, bathing, toliet uses, changes and assisted her with eating and drinking. I am so grateful I had the opportunity to help her and be there for her in her darkest and brightest days because she was always there for mine. I am eager to get back to helping someone with daily needs while providing comfort, joy and companionship.
