I became a caregiver about 3 years ago I have worked in a nursing facility as well as clients homes. I started in this field after 25 years in customer service I wanted a new change and I helped take care of my ex husband grandmother before she passed and from their I decided I wanted to do it full-time. I love it just because I enjoy helping take care of elderly patients I love hearing their stories I think because they are elderly they are sometimes forgot about when families get busy they need someone who can be patient can be empathetic and understanding. I have worked with dementia patients, paraplegic patient as well as couples, Alzheimer's patients I don't mind doing light housekeeping preparing light meals giving baths changing briefs.
