Hello, i am a professional with 27 yrs of paid experience, i have worked with all age ranges an diversities. I have worked in healthcare in various positions for close to 30 yrs. I have a passion for my elder population because i hold admiration, compassion, an empathy for those that have lived where i am trying to get to. There is a wisdom that comes with aging, the longer i live, the more i am reminded of it. My skill set includes bathing, turning, dressing, toileting, engaging, therapeutic ROM exercises, positioning, charting, taking blood sugars. I believe also that true healing at any age begins with repetition of being active, following routine, incorporating a "You" approach, diet, exercise, board games, reading, shopping, performing light housekeeping. If nothing more than just to assist with being there to provide emotional support. I have also worked in subordinate positions an can adapt to the needs of the client. I have worked with the intellectual disabled, mentally challenged, and autistic. There is a blessing to be ba blessing to others. This job must be from the heart.
