I worked as a caregiver for a company out of Knoxville for a lil over a year until my main patient moved and had to switch services. I have worked with patients who are immobile and required assistance being transferred, baths, cooking and light house work. I have experience working with patients who have cancer, Parkinson’s, ptsd, military vets, and Tourette’s. I have also worked with patients who just needed company due to having no family. I absolutely loved my job and my clients were absolutely amazing. The reason I went into caregiving is because our elderly and those who suffer from various medical conditions need someone who can listen to them, give them reason to want to live, brings them joy and someone who shows compassion. Even if it’s for a few hours. I always enjoyed the company and my clients did as well. Even if we sat and watched their favorite tv show or going outside on pretty days just to listen to birds or relax.
