I became a caregiver because I raised my two disabled sons by myself and in 2009 retired and cared for my mom until she passed away in 2014.

When my mom was in and out of the hospital in the last year of her life I still had to take care of my sons.
I had no other family close by to watch her when I had to go home to take care of my sons.

In 2018 I felt like I could help people who were in my position years ago, taking care of loved ones and stretched thin.

So I became a hospital sitter for sitters and more at Vanderbilt.
