I have been a caregiver/ companion for the past 12 yrs with different individuals. i have cared for Alzheimer patients some have been full blown with this disease and others just in the first stages. I have worked most of the 15yrs caregiving on my own not thru a agency but for the last year i have been with a agency im looking for other employment because the agency does not have enough hrs for full time employment . i do not have any certification. The training i have had in being a caregiver i have learned by experience . MY mother was one of these experiences she was a Alzheimer's patient and i cared for her from the very first stages of this terrible disease to the very end of this disease which was 15 yrs.
