I am an Occupational Therapist with 26 years experience looking for a career change, slower pace, part time hours. I have worked in the medical field since I was 16 years old starting in a nursing home. I served 3 years in the Army as a medical specialist at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, where I drew blood, put Foley catheters in, started IV's, placed NG tubes, removed stitches etc. As an OT I have worked in Acute Care setting in a hospital, Skilled nursing facilities in rehab, home health care setting, and outpatient rehab in Assisted living setting and Independent living facilities. I am CPR certified, and have passed multiple background checks for every job I have had. I am fully qualified to to be a companion to the elderly.
