Emma B. Care Companion in Austin, TX 78710

My love for being a caregiver begins with my grandma. She’s 75 and I visit her as much as my schedule permits me to. I help her with household chores every time I visit. In the summer I make sure to help her with her yard work. That includes mowing front and backyard, pulling weeds, digging out metal poles, rearranging her patio furniture, etc. I help her with her housekeeping like cleaning the kitchen, bathrooms, living room, bedrooms, vacuuming, and mopping. I also clean the places she has trouble reaching like under the tables or in high places like dusting the fans. I cook with her almost every time I’m there and at home I cook for myself and two others daily. My grandma and I enjoy to do things such as shopping, bird watching, and face/hair masks! She struggles with foot pain so I make sure to give them a massage every time I’m over and put neosporin and bandaids over the cracks in her heels. I was hired at a nursing home but unfortunately I didn’t have reliable transportation at the time so I couldn’t start. Now I have my own car!
