I have a 3 month old daughter whom I love deeply and enjoy spending every second I can with. I have two nieces, 9 and 6 years old. I've been their go-to sitter for the past 6 years. I worked at a daycare for 6 months and loved every second of it. I currently work as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at a nursing home, but I plan to leave that job once I secure another one. (I've been with this company for almost 7 months). I care for my residents very much but have found that the atmosphere there is not the best fit for me. Some of my duties at the nursing home include feeding my residents, bathing them, changing them, and spending quality time with them. I aspire to be a pediatric nurse but need a job while I enroll in/attend college.
And if my employer were to be willing and accepting of it, I would bring my daughter with me as I care for their children as well. I understand completely if that is not an option, but I would like to point out that I currently care for 30 elderly, residents in the dementia ward, at once; with only one other aide for 12 hours at a time. I am able to multi-task. But again, as I said, I understand if bringing my daughter is not an option.
