I have a number of years of experience as a senior caregiver, being a caregiver is comforting, rewarding and can also be a bit challenging in its own aspect. At one time I had a position as a home health aide, I worked with two clients in the same household which lasted for about three years. I love being able to assist and encourage people with being as mobile and active as possible while providing companionship.
I was a caregiver for my mother for about seven years before she transitioned, to see her continue to try to stay as active as she wanted to be, was very important to me, I also enjoyed seeing her smile when she realized that there were duties and activities that she was still able to complete or accomplish. My duties included but were not limited to running errands, assisting with grooming, house chores, meal prepping and assisting with medication. I also checked blood pressure daily and blood sugar levels twice, daily. We would go to small gatherings and outdoor activities as often as possible. Senior Care is not a new role by no means, I would welcome your love one with open arms, their care and safety is my priority.
