Hello my name is Shantel Teague. I'm 45 years old I decided to become a compassionate and loyal caregiver almost a year ago. My background is medical. I had been in the Medical field for the last 22 years prior before making this career change. I have always been in the medical field side as doing a lot of communication work but, not on hand until now. As today I have worked for a couple of agencies in the Austin,Texas area and Houston Texas area as a Caregiver. I had been blessed with many clients who I had become close to and there families. I have learned so many things about my elders. I have enjoyed the companionship and being able to help them with there everyday needs. To helping them with light house cleaning to reminding them to take there medication to running errands and preparing there meals and helping do laundry. Also helping them bathe and assist getting them dressed. I have encountered many different client's needs as helping dementia and Alzheimer's clients to clients in wheelchairs. What I love about being a caretaker is keeping my clients happy and good spirts. I believe I do my job from my heart. I take care of your love one the way I would like for my own love one to be taken care of. I have not had any complaints about my work other than your a keeper and when I here that I realize I have done my job. As today I will be working on going to school to become Certified Nursing Assistant in this position I hold as a caretaker. I will let you know I will help your love one with all there needs.
