I finished working for a family in 4/15 where I cared for a man suffering with Alzheimer s. I cared for him 4 days a week usually from 9 am until 4 pm in Katy for 4 months. I was hired for a temporary time period and he moved back up North once his house was built. The family completed a referral on Care.com.
I was employed full time at an upscale, assisted living facility for one year where I performed the usual Assisted Daily Living skills such as grooming, bathing, and incontinence care. I also collected specimen for the nursing team such as stool and urine samples. I checked vital signs such as blood pressure, weight, height, pulse, and chest respiration. I responded to residents calls and wrote in the daily logs for facility. I assisted with walking and positioning. I assisted in transfers throughout the day. While on duty I was in charge of 13 residents. I also conducted learning activities to stimulate their cognitive abilities for those with Alzheimer's. I cooked meals in the Bistro sometimes and attained to their needs/wants.
I have recent employment of 6 years where I cared for children/adults with cerebral palsy, bi-polar, autism, asthma, and seizures via a Medicaid funded program. I performed the assisted daily living skills such as bathing, changing incontinence, grooming, etc... I even administered the medication via a nebulizer, gastrostomy button, etc.. I performed Chest Physical Therapy after each breathing treatment. I managed and administered the medication accurately. I cleaned the house, cooked meals, and maintained the animals all 8 of them. I have experience operating a Hoyer lift as well.
I am drug free and a non-smoker. I eat healthy, exercise for health, and enjoy natural remedies. I specialize in preparing healthy meals but can cook comfort foods upon request.
I have completed my background check, have references, completed vaccinations, etc... . I have a clean driving record and clear criminal back ground. I have 90 college credit hours in pharmacy, early childhood development, and in computers.
I am comfortable with pets and I am not allergic to any. I enjoy a clean environment and have no complaints in cleaning your home. I have a reliable car along with insurance. I am certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.
