Hi everyone I'm Ryan and I've been in this field specializing in assisting those with developmental disabilities for about 6 years now. I have a wide range of experience caring for all sorts of people ranging from severe to high functioning. Every person in this line of work is unique and has brought me so many good memories. I've been trained in two states to be able to handle and de-escalate all sorts of situations medical and behavioral.
When I moved down here I worked as a Grouphome Manager handling 3 different homes. I currently work as a Case Manager for people with Developmental Disabilities Monday thru Friday and assist 19 people in receiving the services and equipment they need.
This career path has been extremely rewarding and I'm always looking to build upon it. The key to success in this field is to put the person first and the disability second! You will find much more success building a rapport with someone than you would going in and focusing on their diagnosis.
