Hello, my name is DeBorah. I am a recently retired special education teacher with over 20 years of experience supporting individuals from early childhood through older adulthood. I hold two master’s degrees in Special Education and Educational Leadership and bring patience, structure, and a calm presence to the people I support.
In addition to working with seniors, I have extensive experience supporting individuals with special needs and various disabilities across different ages and abilities. I have assisted clients with community integration, outings, life-skills activities, and the creation of calm, structured routines that help people feel comfortable and confident.
I am comfortable supporting seniors with mild dementia and approach these situations with patience, calm communications, and respect for the individual.
I enjoy working with seniors and adults who benefit from companionship, conversation, and thoughtful support. My goal is to make each day a little easier and more enjoyable.
I can assist with seniors and adults with special needs through:
• Companionship and conversation
• Transportation to appointments
• Errands and outings
• Community activities and life-skills support
• Light meal preparation
• Daily routines
• Written updates for family members
Families often tell me they feel peace of mind knowing someone attentive and dependable is there. I take pleasure in helping people stay connected to their community through outings, conversation, and meaningful daily activities.
I am currently seeking part-time companion care (under 30 hours per week).
