Hello- before I started doing home care companion . I worked for Walmart pharmacy in Giddings where I still live at now. I had to quit my pharmacy tech job after 11 yrs to care for my mother when she got really ill, it also helped me have time with my kids . Then I started to care for this older lady, I would shower her feed her play games watch tv , we would sit out side and just talk or just even sit there and catch some sun. She had Dementia so some days were harder than others , I just had to help her in any way I could to make her feel comfortable when her husband would leave . I would take her out to eat breakfast tacos or we would just chill at the park . Her husband was glad when I would go over it gave him time to do what he needed to do run errands or just even time to him self. I would work form 9-4 on Tuesday ,Wednesday and Fridays. Until she was put in a rest home :(
