Hello My name is Elvia Tilley. I am 42 years old and very interested in your job posting. I have been a professional nanny/caregiver in Houston/Tyler area for the over 15 years and I am looking for a full time position starting as soon as possible. I currently live in the Houston area relocated back from Tyler. I am looking for something long term. I currently work at a healthcare agency for elderly care but they don’t offer over 40 hrs a week and I only work there 3 days a week. If i can find a position where I can work Monday thru Friday that would be great. A little bit of my history: I was a full time nanny for over 15 years then I moved to Tyler Texas when I started out as a nanny for two beautiful girls they got older and started school so I decided to go in the elderly care field and absolutely loved the experience as well as being a nanny. Part of my job descriptions from being a nanny/care taker are:
Bathing ● Dressing ● Feeding ● Formulas Preparation ● Diapers changing
• Organize and take part in activities for instance games, crafts, reading and outings to give enjoyment and exercise
• Take kids to and from school and to doctor appointments
• Watch over children and arrange reports for home care or babysitting agency
• Discipline children in keeping with the methods requested by the parents
• Plan, arrange and dish up meals for children and execute other housekeeping duties
• Keep records of everyday activities and health information about every child
• Oversee children’s activities, for instance meals and rest periods, as inculcate by employer
• Instruct children in private hygiene and social development
Caregiver
Provided care for an elderly client around the clock, preparing meals and assisting with activities of daily living. Monitored medical condition on a daily basis and alerted the VNA or the physician when necessary. Engage clients with gentle activities such as walking, working puzzles and reading. Complete errands such as grocery shopping on clients behalf, manage clients schedule and doctors appointments. Provide companionship, maintain safe, healthy and clean environment for clients.
