Lesly’s Bio

Currently working Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Sunday nights 10pm-10am as a private in home caregiver for a senior coupe, ages 88 and 87. Previously worked in home as a caregiver for a senior male bedridden with ALS and on a tracheostomy. I have experience with the following: medication administration of multiple medications on a schedule during day and night orally and through PEG tube, bathing, helping to dress, BM cleanup, trach care and daily changes, in-line suction care and changes, cough assist machine operation, feeding through PEG tube, and eye gaze machine operation.

I became a caregiver because I grew up with both my grandfathers living in our home and helping my parents care for them both starting when I was 14 until I left home and joined military after I graduated highschool. I realized how much I enjoyed helping in caring for them and that I had a lot of patience that is needed in this line of work as it can be hard on my family to be the caregivers. I saw the relief my parents would have as I got older and was able to help with more and I knew I wanted to do something that let me help others and bring them joy as I am a very upbeat and happy person and making others happy brings me more joy than anything else in the world.
