Robin C. Care Companion in The Colony, TX 75056

I have always loved working with the elderly. I've worked in assisted living, nursing homes and with hospice. I've been a social worker and worked on a memory care wing. I took a break to stay home with my children, but as they've gotten older and I've had more time, I found myself missing my work with the elderly. I've recently volunteered as a long term care ombudsman with the state and done pet therapy visits with my Great Dane through Heart of Texas.
I do visits in homes, assisted living facilities or nursing homes. I do things like check the fridge for spoiled food, take the trash out, help care for the cat, chop vegetables, or boil eggs to be used later. I can help with laundry or empty the dishwasher. I'm also happy to chat and listen to stories. Most of the people I work with have families nearby, but need someone to check in on their loved one when they can't.
I can do short or occasional visits, run errands or provide transportation as needed. Flu and Covid boosters 11/22
