ABOUT ME:
I have been a Nursing Assistant since 2004, though my journey began long before that. I grew up with both my immediate family and grandparents who I helped take care of. My grandmother had a brain tumor and declined over the years. I started taking care of my grandparents at a very young age and stood by them until they past. It is in my nature and in my heart to be a caregiver. I love people, children and animals. I do volunteer pet rescue to help heal and relocate abused, abandoned animals to their new "forever homes."
I am the type of person who MUST stay busy. If my duties are done, I will find something else to do to help out. I prefer to work full time, but will accept a part time or temporary position. I will work overtime if needed and will almost always come in on short notice to help if needed. We are in this together. Through my actions and support I can help better your quality of life. I respect who I work for and expect to be respected as a valued companion in return. I do not do drugs, drink or "party" and go out on the weekends. I have my priorities straight and I want to find a employer that I can stay and prosper with.

EMPLOYMENT RESPONSIBILITIES:
I am used to rather labor intensive responsibilities. I do a lot of bending, squatting, and I'm constantly on feet. I am constantly busy and often times do not take a lunch break. I am normally the principal care giver, though family do come periodically to check on their other family members. I maintain a healthy and vigorous environment for my companion, regardless of their physical and/or mental abillities. Preforming peri-care and other activities of daily living such as grooming regularly and overall being a great companion to them are a given. Being a Nursing Assistant, I gather information such as vital signs, requests for medication, level of pain or discomfort and overall observed physical and mental status for the overseeing Nurse via phone or email, (in a home setting.) Charting all information pertaining to residents care in an accurate and timely manner. Preparing meals, as well as preforming light cleaning tasks and pet care can also be involved depending on our agreement.

RATES:
Hourly rate starts at $10 a hour* and is up for change depending on client needs* and amount of travel* involved.
