Hi I am Molly Harrah. I have about one year of caregiving experience. How I stumbled upon my passion was by doing various gig works. I ended up doing a lot of errand work on task rabbit. I ended up doing every kind of work on the app. I did cleaning, deliveries, cooking, organizing, shopping, and much more. I then decided wow I really like doing this. I did not know I love to do a bunch of random jobs.
I ended up forming relationships with my clients meaning that they ended up asking for more things to do to the point I would help them their day to day life. They ended up wanting me every day to help them. I realized I am a helper by nature. I want to help others but not be exhausted everyday. I got a cpr certificate and that qualified me to be a full time caregiver to two autistic adults and one autistic kid but almost to adult age. I helped the dad and the mom. The mom was disabled so I did everything. This all started by the task of unpacking on task rabbit that the mom requested. I was extremely happy that I could be helpful and make people’s lives easier.
I have an education degree and at first wanted to be a teacher. I love to be with kids and was a teacher for a while but realized that everyday I was extremely tired. I knew that I have the qualities of a teacher but wanted something more on the lines of flexibility. This caused me to look elsewhere and use my talents by one on one care to people directly.
