I am 40 yrs old, married, and have 5 children ages 11-22. I have worked in assisted living facilities for many years. The elderly and just helping people in general are my passion. I have always been raised to respect my elders and I feel not enough people do that. The skills I have for this job include being patient, kind, and understanding. I have worked in memory care units which helped me learn how to redirect and be creative with different approaches for daily care task that may be difficult for the person to stay focused on or be willing to do.
