I love being a caregiver because it allows me to live out my values of compassion, service, and community. I’ve cared for my grandparents for over ten years, and that experience has taught me the importance of patience, empathy, and showing up for those who depend on you. Through my church, I also do community service, and I often help elderly neighbors who may not have family nearby. Knowing that I can make a real difference in someone’s day—whether it’s through companionship, a hot meal, or just a listening ear—gives me a deep sense of purpose and fulfillment.
My main experience comes from being the primary caregiver for my grandparents and helping my local neighbors through the NEXTDOOR application. I’m always in constant community service with my church as well.
My skills consist of a lot of patience, empathy, commitment, and a true nurturing ability from being a mom. My educational background consists of having my degree in cosmetology which allows me understanding of health and safety as well as grooming and beauty care. Overall, I feel I can be a great companion because my authenticity shines and I love to help others!
