In eighth grade I became a peer tutor and immediately fell in love working with people with disabilities. While I have only had 1 and a half years of paid experience, I have been a volunteer and peer tutor for 5. I have two siblings with disabilities as well, which has given me lots of experience working with people and kids with disabilities. I routinely help one of my siblings out in the community, and have been a coach at Centerpoint Academy's adaptive theater program both as a one-on-one and general coach. I am comfortable with all physical, emotional, and behavioral needs. I have extensive experience with emotional regulation skills and coping exercises.

I also have experience helping my grandma around including assistance with folding and loading her walker, assisting her with groceries, driving her to and from appointments, and helping her up stairs with railings. I have experience with kids and youth in wheelchairs, both manual and electric, and pushing them in wheelchairs occasionally. I have experience helping my friend who is blind around and helping other friends up stairs and steps.
