In eighth grade I became a peer tutor and immediately fell in love working with people with disabilities. While I have only had 1 and a half years of paid experience, I have been a volunteer and peer tutor for 5. I have two siblings with disabilities as well, which has given me lots of experience working with people and kids with disabilities. I routinely help one of my siblings out in the community, and have been a coach at Centerpoint Academy's adaptive theater program both as a one-on-one and general coach. I am comfortable with all physical, emotional, and behavioral needs. I have extensive experience with emotional regulation skills and coping exercises.
